Here we are on our last evening in the wonderful atmosphere of Oman.
the highlight (today) was our trip out nearly 3 hours road trip up in the Jebels at 2800m where we camped out under the stars. This time we didn't need a tent just on the camp beds out on the barren land. after rising at donkey call (0600) when I found the sky had changed mysteriously from starlight to daylight and the campfire had gone out (nearly), we trekked off for an hour walk in a place that I can only describe as a mini Grand Canyon. We started at Diana's place where the goddess Diana looked out across the void and walked down and around between small villages stuck on the side of the canyon. That was great especially after our geological walk around the campsite the evening before. David has not lost his hand as master barbecuer and the time we had was great. Of course more things happened than that, but I'll catch uop a bit more on our eventual return. After our last swim at the pool tonight itr was back to pack, last tea together and with washing out overnight said to dry before 6am tomorrow, off we go to the big Dubai. See you later!
